The Centre for Excellence in Information Technology (CEIT), the flagship project of India-Morocco Economic Cooperation Programme and located in Technopark, Casablanca, commenced its operations on 18 December 2017.

The Director of the Centre published a message on the CEIT website (http://www.ceitin.inpt.ma):

“The India-Morocco Centre for Excellence in Information Technology was envisioned with the signing of a MoU between. The Government of Kingdom of Morocco and The Government of Republic of India on 10thDecember 2014 at Rabat. With both the Governments committed to South-South Cooperation, this Centre for Excellence in IT was established in May 2017 at Casablanca, the commercial capital of Morocco.

With India being at the helm of the IT revolution, the Centre builds its expertise on the Indian talent brought in for the delivery of the programs. With strong commitments from both India and Morocco, the Centre aims to disseminate knowledge in cutting-edge ICT technologies for human advancement in the African region.

CEIT will be jointly managed by C-DAC, India’s premier R&D organization in the field of IT and Electronics, and INPT, an institute pioneering in IT and Telecommunications in Morocco, for a period of two years, before being handed over fully to INPT. The various programs at CEIT have been thoughtfully curated to match the industry requirements.

With this Centre now operational, I take this as a great opportunity to invite all professionals, academicians, students and promising entrepreneurs to come and join the various industry-ready professional IT programs, which would enable one and all to compete in this flat world, together thereby making the world a better place.”
